The 2025 edition of Okolo jižních Čech confirmed its status as the most prestigious UCI 2.2 stage race in the Czech Republic. Over four demanding stages and 637 km, riders battled through scenic yet challenging terrain across South Bohemia.
British rider William Smith (Visma | Lease a Bike Development) claimed overall victory with a total time of 14h 52’37”, edging out Czech talent Tomáš Přidal (Elkov–Kasper) by just 19 seconds. Belgian Lucas Van Gils (Lotto Development) completed the podium, 22 seconds behind the leader.
Stage winners included Jed Smithson (Stage 1), Axel van der Tuuk (Stage 2), William Smith (Stage 3), and Mads Landbo (Stage 4). The race featured aggressive attacks, tactical breakaways, and tight time gaps, keeping fans engaged until the final kilometers.
With strong local performances and international competition, the Tour of South Bohemia once again delivered a spectacular showcase of endurance, strategy, and racing excitement.
