Super‑G – Friday, January 23, 2026

The 2026 Hahnenkamm weekend opened with a spectacular Super‑G on the Streifalm. Marco Odermatt (SUI) reaffirmed his status as the dominant force in men’s speed skiing, winning with a time of 1:08.41. He edged out his compatriot Franjo von Allmen (SUI) by just 0.03 seconds, while Stefan Babinsky (AUT) secured an important podium for the home crowd in third place, 0.25 seconds behind Odermatt.

Downhill – Saturday, January 24, 2026

The classic downhill delivered high drama on the Streif. Giovanni Franzoni (ITA) claimed an emotional victory, marking one of the biggest wins of his career. The race was charged with tension and featured one of the weekend’s most memorable storylines: a “heartbroken hero,” as reported, finished just short of the win in a gripping battle down one of the world’s toughest courses. The downhill once again highlighted the extreme challenge of the Streif and the razor-thin margins that define success in Kitzbühel.
