2025-01-05

In a thrilling display of skill and precision, Marco Odermatt secured his first victory on the legendary Saslong piste in Val Gardena on December 21, 2024. The Swiss skier delivered a flawless run, navigating the challenging course with ease and leaving his competitors behind. Odermatt’s daring ride through the infamous Ciaslat meadow was particularly impressive, earning him a significant lead and his 40th World Cup triumph. Joining Odermatt on the podium was fellow Swiss skier Franjo von Allmen, who achieved his first World Cup podium finish, making it a Swiss one-two victory. American Ryan Cochran-Siegle rounded out the top three with a strong performance. Despite the perfect slope conditions and bright sunshine, Italy’s speed aces struggled to match their previous performances. Mattia Casse, the fastest Italian, finished in 14th place, while Dominik Paris and Christof Innerhofer placed 25th and 27th, respectively.
